Frequently Asked Questions about Blog Mentoring

1. How do I start blog mentoring?

Go to www.powertochange.com, click on ‘Latest Comments’ and comment on the blog posts in question. Be sure to check off ‘Notify me of further comments’ at the bottom of the form so that you will receive an email when someone comments after you in order for you to respond again.

2. Are there more places on the website to find ‘Latest Comments’?

Yes, click on the ‘More Sites’ in the navigation and then click on ‘Additional Sites’. Each site will have different latest comments based on the blog posts on that specific site. This will be different depending on the site and also whether it is an evangelistic site(targeting non-believers) or a discipleship site (targeting believers). You can click on each site, and then on each comment to help get started. Always remember to click on the ‘Notify by email of further comments’ at the bottom so that you will be able to interact with visitors that come after you and leave a comment.

3. How can I know when new content needs a comment?

Go go http://powertochange.com/subscribe/ and subscribe to the weekly newsletters. This will ensure that you are receiving the newsletters in your Inbox and you can then go to the article or video that is featured on the site that day and be the first person to comment and get the ball rolling.

4. Is the Blog the Daily Devotional or another page you are setting up?

Our Daily Devotionals are set up as blogs but so are many of our daily posts. The Devotionals are a great place to get involved as a Blog Mentor. Sign up to receive them at http://powertochange.com/experience/subscribe/ and be the first person every day to comment on that day’s devo. Once again be sure to click off the box so that you will be notified of further comments in your inbox.

5. If people are not automatically aware of it is, it okay to say I’m a blog mentor just as we do to identify ourselves in the emails we respond back to?

Yes, it is absolutely fine to identify yourself as a Blog Mentor for powertochange.com.

6. Will people know that I am serving in the capacity of a blog mentor?

As a Blog Mentor you will log in to our Content Management System first(WordPress) before you comment on the blogs. When you do this correctly, your comment will show up in  blue so that the people on the site know that you are serving in an official capacity with the site.
