Celebrate and Share
As of Nov. 2011 The Mentor Center (TMC) has added a Celebrate and Share input box to each email reply.
This dialog box gives you the opportunity to report any exciting developments that have happened any time during a mentor’s conversation with a mentee.
If any of these things occur in your conversation, we ask that you share this with us at the time that it happens.
The first one means anytime that you have added a prayer into your reply, we would like to know about it. This does not include a prayer of salvation or the Holy Spirit prayer.
The second one means when you share the gospel with a mentee. So anytime that you share how someone can receive Christ, you would check this box.
The third one should be checked when a mentee responds saying they have prayed to receive Christ. This question also comes with a comment box for you to share more of the story that lead up to this decision.
The fourth one should be checked when you have shared how to be filled with the Holy Spirit.
The fifth one should be checked if they prayed to be filled with the Holy Spirit.
The sixth one gives you the opportunity to share anything you deem significant that has happened to you or the mentee as you walk alongside them. (eg: spiritual growth, how your mentor relationship has helped the mentee, significant lifestyle change etc)
If any of the above happens in any part of your conversation please make record of it.
In order for the comments you have shared to be saved you must click the share button. (see arrow)
When you share a comment the text will show up on the new sidebar (see example on the left) called Celebrate and Share. This feature will bring encouragement as you will see mentors from all over sharing the great things God is doing through mentoring.
The comments will scroll by as each new one comes online. It is important that before sharing your comments that all personal information of the mentee has been removed. This means that all names, any place of work, residence or schools etc. should not be shared. We wish to keep all mentees conversations private but we also wish to have encouraging comments shared.
We look forward to hearing these comments and hope that as you read them you will also be encouraged by seeing others like you.
