Content That Listens -  Previously users were content to just sit back and read. Now they want to actively participate through discussion and user-driven content. It’s time for content that listens. This is content that is culturally relevant, that encourages interactivity and that is fluid and dynamic. Please pray that we would receive submissions of this nature, and that the Lord would use this sort of content for ministry opportunities. </p>
<p><strong>TUESDAY</strong><br />
Faithful Volunteers  -Today, please pray for our one-time as well as continuing volunteer authors. Please pray that God would bless them with words and ideas, as well as increase their discernment in knowing what issues to address in their writing. Please also pray for their spiritual protection and for the Lord’s hand of continued blessing.</p>
<p><strong>WEDNESDAY</strong><br />
Varied Content - As a ministry that seeks to meet our audiences at their felt needs, and address the deeper issues with the hope of Jesus Christ, it is crucial for us to be able to be both aware and accommodating to that which our visitors seek. This requires content of us that is varied, and address a series of different issues, experiences and needs. Please pray that God would give us wisdom in what kind of content we should pursue and request of our volunteer authors.</p>
<p><strong>THURSDAY</strong><br />
New Recruits - As new and old visitors come to our site, please pray that those with writing abilities and an ear to the Lord’s Spirit would be drawn to write for us, and send us suitable submissions. Pray that the timid would be given courage and the hesitant would be given a nudge from the Lord.</p>
<p><strong>FRIDAY</strong><br />
A Launch Pad for Change - Please pray that the content that our authors provide would act as a launch pad for transformation in people’s hearts and souls. Pray that the words and concepts presented in the writing would lead people to begin a relationship with Christ and encourage them to join the advancing of the kingdom.</p>

<p>The task of sharing the Gospel with someone with no church background is harder than it seems.  How do you communicate clearly with someone who has little or no understanding of the terms, concepts and characters which make up our faith?</p>
<p>In light of this, <strong>we’ve put together <a href="http://truthmedia.com/writing/write-evangelistic/">a list of </a></strong><strong><a href="http://truthmedia.com/writing/write-evangelistic/">the most common problems</a> </strong>we find in articles submitted for non-Christians. We also included “before and after” examples where applicable.</p>
<p><em>I Corinthians 9:22,23 says, “When I am with those who are weak, I share their weakness, for I want to bring the weak to Christ. Yes, I try to find common ground with everyone, doing everything I can to save some. I do everything to spread the Good News and share in its blessings.” (NLT)</em></p>
<p>Changing the way you write can be a scary thing.  Ask God to help you see your writing through the eyes your reader.  <strong>He can take your personal evangelism to a new level of effectiveness. </strong></p>

<p>As you think of monthly themes also think about what questions might flow out of that theme to engage our audience in dialogue with a mentor.</p>
<p>Here are some questions suggested from our Mentor Coordinator, Terry, based on issues that she has seen addressed by our mentors.</p>
<p>Do you feel isolated, hurt or afraid and have no one to talk to?</p>
<p>Are you struggling with anxiety? Do you experience panic attacks and afraid to face the day?</p>
<p>Are you lonely in your relationship and wish it was different?</p>
<p>Why is it hard to ask for help?</p>
<p>Is your spouse addicted to porn and you&#8217;re feeling lonely, islotated and unloved?</p>
<p>Are you feeling the regrets of having an abortion and need someone to talk to?</p>
<p>Do you struggle with the deep darkness of depression and find yourself without hope?</p>
<p>Are you facing an unwanted divorce or separation? Is your world coming to an end?</p>
<p>Is there life after divorce, abortion, sexual, physical or emotional abuse?</p>

A similiar thing happens with titles and taglines online. You only have a few seconds to convince the reader to choose your article. How do you get their attention?</p>
<p><strong>I had the chance to do some research today on how titles and taglines are used</strong> in popular magazines. The main thing we noticed is the difference between LABELING an article and INVITING someone to read it. Labeling tells you what the article is, the other tells you why you need it. The same elements that work in taglines can help make your article title that one that stands out.</p>
<p><strong>Great Titles:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Use active language</li>
<li>Suggest effortless solutions � we noticed words like easy, lazy, cheat, trick, miracle, stressfree</li>
<li>Offer to let you join the club � Best secrets for flawless skin</li>
<li>Use questions that include the answer � Cheat on your diet and still lose weight?</li>
<li>Suggest an element of discovery � Our best beauty finds, Surprising ways to ______</li>
<li>Use inspirational or transformational language � You can do it! Organize your home for the holidays</li>
<li>Use words that exude a feeling � Cozy, comfortable</li>
<li>Use superlative language � best, better, great, ultimate, greatest ever</li>
<li>Often use exclamation points (but rarely more than one per cover)</li>
<li>Suggest abundance � 20+ ideas for, 700+ Ways to get fit now</li>
<li>Include a sense of immediacy � Get organized today, Delicious meals to cook tonight</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Frequently used words:</strong></p>

<p>Some of these words are more appropriate to specific topics than others but they�re all good things to keep in mind. Your reader wants to know what the article will do for them right now. Your title is a great place to tell them.</p>
