Please feel free to reassign anything that you are not comfortable with OR if you do not have time to reply within a few days of you receiving the email.
Just know that when you reassign the email, your Community Leader is on it and will promptly reassign it to another available mentor. This is much better than having the email sit too long in your inbox or YOU being overwhelmed by something you would rather not handle.
With a mentoring email, do not archive anything that you have not replied too.
With an Internal email, do not archive it unless you’ve read it.

Terri’s Tip ~We Need Your Help~

Good Day!
There are many people waiting to hear God’s word!

Jesus Daily, a Facebook page with over 16 million “likes” has email going into TMC.
Right now there are OVER 12 000 messages in the TMC pool waiting to be answered.

Everything on your end stays the same. The emails come through The Mentor Center secure software like all the other mentoring emails do that you receive. The only difference is the subject line has the “persons name and PRIVATE Messag…” and the ‘From’ will say, ‘facebook’.

There are always growing pains in the beginning and because of the nature of Facebook, people send in messages that are not relevant to mentoring. Soon there will be a filter in place and they will not get through but until then, please reassign anything that doesn’t require a response and we will look after them.

To answer all of these messages, we actually need over 1,000 more mentors. Please help us get the word out!

Here are two of the messages waiting for responses:

• “Jesus! Please I need help, I always promise God that i would repent, but then I just turn into the old me, I swear and do a lot of bad stuff, I need help!

• “I am muslim and i want to ask you about your religious and may i follow your own thought ok?”

This is an evangelist outreach and the harvest is great. There are thousands of seekers coming through this page wanting to know Jesus. There are also believers asking all kinds of questions about life and faith.

It’s an unprecedented opportunity to have a huge reach around the entire globe. Please pray for us as we journey through this transition and work on simplifying and scaling our processes so that we truly can reach millions. God has opened up an amazing opportunity for us! We want to share it with you.”

Prayer:

Today is our International Day of Prayer. Please join us in prayer for the items below.

·         God is opening up some incredible doors that will enable a significantly expanded reach for people coming to know Him. Please pray for our leadership and our ministry teams as they work on the process so that thousands more people would come to know Christ.

·         Please pray for creativity and effectiveness as we develop the content and plans for The Life and our evangelism strategies.

·         We are a large team and spread out over long distances.   Please pray for our strength, unity, love, and communication to be preserved and increased, and our witness to be multiplied through that.

Terri’s Tip~Just for You~

Evangelism isn’t about being gifted or having all the answers; it’s about being faithful with our opportunities. My 84-year-old mother is one of the best evangelists I know. She takes every opportunity that she gets to share Jesus.

A while back she broke her femur bone and was in rehab for several weeks. When I would visit, she would begin to tell me how she shared the gospel with others around her. One day the night nurse was helping her get ready for bed and she noticed a cross around her neck. She promptly asked, “Oh, do you know Jesus?” She would pray for and with those around her, as much as she could.

Despite the difficulties of a broken bone, being in a wheel chair for weeks, her heart was full of joy.

When we begin to share the gospel with someone, we don’t know what will happen but we must trust God with the results. If someone said to you, “I want Christ in my life, how do I do that?” would you be willing to answer that?

Here are 15 questions that will help you begin talking about spiritual things with your mentee. Try them all and see what works best for you.

Do you think about spiritual things or God much?

What’s been your experience with Christianity?

What do you think about Jesus?

We’ve never had a chance to talk about your religious background. Where would you say you are in your spiritual journey?

I have a crazy question for you. Say something awful happened and we died and are standing before God and He says to you, “Why should I let you into heaven?” What would you say?

What is your concept of God? Do you view Him positively or negatively?

Have you every come to a point in your life where you’ve surrendered your life to Christ? If not, what’s holding you back?

Do you find that faith and spiritual values play a role in your (work) (day) (marriage) (perspective on life)?

If you could be sure there is a God, would you want to know Him? Or if you could know God personally, would you want to?

Have you ever heard my story of how God changed my life?

Happy Easter… we all say it, but why? Do we say it out of common courtesy because everyone else is saying it? After all, “Happy Easter” is in our repertoire of greetings, right next to “bless you” after someone sneezes or the non-chalant “how are you?” to our neighborhood barista. Sometimes we just need to read between the lines. Our words can mean so much more than a set of muttered phrases.

Word-of-mouth is one of the most credible forms of advertising. Please share your mentoring stories with the people in your circle of influence and encourage them to also become involved in this exciting online ministry.

Last week I sent out information on how to use the suicide template. Please note: templates that have a URL inserted in it will look messy on your end but will look great to the mentee. I thought I should show you (below) what it looks like to the mentee when you send a reply out of TMC.

Never give away personal information such as your telephone number, address, city location, personal email address, facebook or any other social media that you use.
Use your first name only. Your safety is of paramount importance.
