Terri’s Tip ~God Success~

Our online mentoring ministry has unique opportunities to reach people who have no hope. People find our web sites who haven’t found help anywhere else. Through being connected to a mentor who is pursuing Jesus, listens, shows empathy, compassion, asks open ended questions and prays, a divine appointment seems to emerge out of the misery and lives begin to change.

We are not professional counselors but people who follow the Greatest Counselor of All.
Below are two ‘God’ Success Stories.

Walk Along Side…

1) You know, you are the first person in my ENTIRE life, all twenty-seven years and seven months, to say that there was ANY kind of softness to me. NOBODY in my ENTIRE life has ever used my name and the word “softness” in the same sentence.  I do want to thank you, though, because you are right, you don’t judge me because of how my life has come to be. You TRULY do accept me for who I am today and what I hope to do with my life. You don’t criticize or place blame. You tell me like it is whether it’s difficult for me to hear or not. You always listen and at least TRY to understand. If by some odd chance, you don’t understand, you don’t try to act like you do. You’re honest and foreword, and you tell me that you don’t understand. That’s a rare and precious
thing to find these days.’

2) June 2011: Its kind of hard to believe that god loves me when I hear so many people saying I’m just going to die and burn in hell and that I’m a bad person. I’m sorry I got a email mentor, I know when I bother someone and I know I’m bothering you so I won’t email anymore. I don’t like to bother people.
November 2011: I’m guessing I’ll still be doing the same thing in college as I am in high school. Nothing will change, at least not for the better. Nothing ever changes for the better for me. Like I said before, I’m not a people person so volunteering won’t do me any good. If anything I should be dead, I don’t do any good for the world, just  hold everyone else back.
May 2012: I wish I could just give you a hug. :)
On Wednesday my friend told me that the place I applied to tried to call me and set up an interview (he knows this because he works there). Well he took me over there after school and I had my first job interview and the lady said she liked me a lot. So now I have my second interview today at 3.p.m at the same place I hope I get the job I want to make some money for phone bills and maybe make some money to help my best friend out. And of course keep some for me and college stuff too. Today is going to be busy for me. I have my graduation practice, senior picnic, the interview, hopefully go to the store to grab a gift, then to my cousins graduation. I hope you have a good day :)

Have a Great Week!
Terri
