Terri’s Tuesday Tip~Lost Emails~

When a desk is messy there is greater chance for something important to get pushed aside or forgotten all together!
To be assured that all emails are answered in a timely fashion, it would help if your inbox was neat and tidy at all times.

Archive (Close)
Every time you send a reply to a mentee then click on the archive button immediately afterwards. This will store your answered email in your archive folder. If the mentee writes you back, then their reply will show up in your inbox.
If you want to send the mentee another email before they reply, then re-open the email by clicking on ‘Archive’ under ‘Folders’ on the left side of the page in TMC.  Click on the Subject line (blue) and then on ‘Re-Open’ at the top right side of the email. This sends the email to your inbox where you can reply again.

Reassign
If you cannot respond to a new email, then please reassign it, so your Community Leader can find another mentor who will be able to reply.  Never Archive a new email that has not had a response.

Tags
Tagging allows you to label an email with one or more words of your choice that serves as a reminder so you can use ‘Search Tag’ later on.

Walk Along Side…(please pray for this gal and her mentor as they continue to correspond. This mentee has come a long way)
“I want to feel joy and I need to feel joy, I’m just not sure if I would know what to do with it. I wouldn’t know if I was actually feeling joy because I don’t remember what it feels like. That’s scary and sad when you think about it. I signed my email “Hope” instead of “Hopeless” because I figured “Hopeless” was a negative name, and as long as I allowed even small little negative things in my life (like a name), then I would always think, feel & act negatively. However, I’m not quite ready for “Hopeful” yet. We have a ways to go for that one.”
